National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA)

A Council of Architecture aptitude test used by participating institutions for architecture admissions.

What should I check?

  • The 2026 brochure permits eligible 10+2 or 10+3 diploma candidates to take NATA.
  • Passing NATA does not itself guarantee admission; confirm the institution and counselling rules.
Is this exam required?

That depends on the course, institution, state and current admission cycle. Treat this as one route to investigate, not a universal requirement.

Eligibility and scope

Check the academic subjects, marks and category rules for the course and institution you are targeting. Exam eligibility is separate from course eligibility.

State, institution and current-cycle rules can differ. Do not rely on a previous year’s dates or cutoff.

Typical application journey

  1. Read the current official notification
  2. Register and submit the application
  3. Download the admit card and take the exam or selection step
  4. Check result/score and follow the applicable counselling or institution process
  5. Complete document verification and admission

What happens next?

After the exam, the score may feed into rank, counselling or an institution decision. Confirm the exact process with the current authority and participating institution.
